Privacy policy

Colorado Storms is a demonstration site operated by Ninth Degree. Here is exactly what it does and does not do with your information.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics to understand basic site traffic, such as which pages are visited and what kind of device is used. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We do not see your name, email, or street address, and the site has no accounts and no forms, so you never type personal information into it.

What stays in your browser

Two small conveniences are stored on your device and never sent to us: your light-or-stormy theme choice, and a short-lived cache of the current weather so repeat page loads feel fast. Clearing your browser storage removes both.

Where the weather data comes from

Current conditions and storm reports come from public National Weather Service and NOAA Storm Prediction Center feeds. Your browser requests conditions directly from api.weather.gov, which is operated by the U.S. government.
